Loyal Garic staff member Leon Massey puts his longevity with the company down to the fact that there is always something new and interesting to get involved with. Since he joined the company back in 1998 he has seen many changes not only with his own role but across the company too.
When Leon started working at Garic he was a labourer at the Bury HQ and now he is a business development co-ordinator. He has had a number of different roles in between and says he has thoroughly enjoyed every one of them.
“One of the things I really like about working at Garic is the continual development of new products and services,” explains Leon. “I’ve seen so many new innovations being tested, manufactured and launched during my time with the company. There can’t be many businesses in our sector that are as pro-active as we are when it comes to incorporating new technologies like solar power and telematics into their welfare equipment and site set up plant.
“As well as the manufacturing and development aspects, I also enjoy mentoring new colleagues and meeting new customers. I’ve been here a long time so I know everyone and because I have worked in quite a few different roles, I feel very comfortable helping people. Over the years many of my colleagues and clients have become valued friends.”
The team put together a surprise celebration, in recognition of the fantastic contribution Leon has made to Garic. Here’s to another 20?!
