The Project

During a six-week winter refurbishment along the historic Hatton Flight, providing safe and sustainable welfare for the team presented a unique challenge. With no road access and harsh winter conditions, the project required a solution that could be positioned directly where the work was happening.

The Solution:

Our Armadillo 18 Eco+ was mounted on a floating pontoon, allowing it to sit right beside the lock. This gave the six-person team continuous access to comfortable welfare facilities, exactly where they were needed.

The unit’s Microgrid system powered the Armadillo 18 Eco+ for 95% of the project, while rainwater harvesting and minimal generator use reduced environmental impact. With a full range of facilities on board, the team stayed safe, comfortable, and productive throughout the refurbishment.
