Garic gets 2016 off to a flying start as it vies for innovation top spots

Garic has seen a fabulous start to 2016 having received another prestigious award shortlisting.

The Housing Innovation Awards, now in their fifth year, look to recognise and celebrate pioneering spirit; in particular companies who have come up with new ways of thinking in an increasingly tough environment.

As a leading light in the plant and welfare facilities sector, Garic has been shortlisted in the Most Innovative Supplier category. One of five in this fiercely contested section, it is in good company and will be vying for the title alongside the Grafton Group plc, Kingspan Insulation, Sovini Trade Supplies and Travis Perkins.

The news, which follows hot on the heels of two prestigious award wins at the end of 2015, will see Garic in London for award ceremonies twice in one week. The Housing Innovation Awards will kick off the two black tie events on 18 February at the Grand Connaught Rooms, followed by a glittering finish at the Construction News Specialist Awards on 24 February where it is shortlisted for a further two categories; Equipment Supplier of the Year and Business Innovation of the Year.

Neil Richardson, director said: “Garic’s commitment to lead the way in plant and welfare innovations was evidenced by our £14m investment in 2015 and included the launch of another industry first; the new Eco Series Plus welfare cabin.

“As the UK’s only generator free, completely solar powered welfare unit, the cabin can reduce fuel consumption by up to 89 percent. We’re thrilled that our latest eco product is receiving such fantastic recognition.”
