How Garic Supports Rail Projects from Trackside to Handover

Rail projects don’t stop. The signalling upgrades, platform extensions, cabling work and track repairs that keep Britain’s network running happen around the clock, in all weathers, often in the most challenging locations imaginable. The teams delivering that work deserve proper support. And that’s exactly what we’re here to provide.

We’ve spent over 37 years developing site solutions that work in the real world. Not just on paper. We’re an RIA approved supplier to the UK railway industry, RISQS registered, PTS trained, and FORS Gold accredited for seven years running. That’s not just a list of certifications. It’s a commitment to doing things properly, every time.

The right welfare for every team size

Whether you’re running a small trackside team or a large multi-phase project, we’ve got a setup that works. Our site solutions scale from 10 to 60 people, with everything designed to keep your crew comfortable, compliant and focused on the job.

For smaller teams and transient work, our Welfare Van Eco+ is hard to beat. It saves around 200kg of carbon per week compared to traditional diesel use, comes with premium telematics as standard, and runs on hybrid solar power. Everything your team needs, in one vehicle that goes where they go.

For larger, longer-running projects, our Armadillo 18 Eco+ is built to seriously cut your environmental impact. Fuel costs reduced by up to 95%. Emissions reduced by up to 95%. Powered primarily by solar via our Microgrid technology, with rainwater harvesting built in and near zero noise pollution. It’s not just a welfare unit. It’s a smarter way to run a site.

And if you need a full base camp setup, our modular site configurations can house up to 60 people with canteens, offices, meeting rooms, drying rooms and sustainable power all in one joined-up solution.

More than just equipment

We know that delivering a rail project is about more than having the right kit on site. It’s about having a partner who understands the pressures, the timelines, and what it takes to keep a programme moving.

That’s why we offer full technical site services, from 3D site planning and layout design through to risk assessments and lifting operations management. Our tanker servicing team handles waste removal, water replenishment and fuel refills so your site managers can focus on the work, not the logistics. And if something goes wrong out of hours, our field maintenance support runs 365 days a year, 24 hours a day.

We’re trusted by some of the biggest names in UK rail, including Network Rail, Babcock Rail, Keltbray and Story. And we’re ready to support your next project too.
