Hi, I’m Simon Shaw-Jefferies. I work on the regional hire desk and deal with a number of enquiries, be it hiring, off hiring or just some information on our amazing range of products! I have been with Garic for 2 and a half years now.

What is a typical day at Garic like for you?

Being a regional hire controller is great. I Work very closely with my account managers to ensure our customers have the best experience when using Garic. With a lot of help and assistance from my local depot in Dudley, and all surrounding depots, we strive to provide the best units, as well as service to all. I get to speak with many people each day and have built some fantastic relationships with most. 

What is great about working for Garic?

For me, the best part about working at Garic is that everyone is passionate in their role and understand that they all play a very important part in the day to day running of Garic. With a team around me like this, I find help or support is easy to come across.

The great part about my role is that every day is completely different to the next, giving me something to look forward to about the new day.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love spending as much time as possible with my wife and 2 (Soon to be 3) children. On the weekends, we go for days out, be it feeding the ducks or visiting family down by the coast. When we get home and are tired, it’s a case of putting on a family film and curling up on the settee.
