Since unveiling its latest generation welfare van Garic has been overwhelmed with the responses regarding the revolutionary hybrid energy vehicle.
It not only has enhanced safety features such as a jumpstart button, keyout engine management system and reversing cameras, but the welfare facilities can be powered entirely by its solar panels alone which significantly reduce the environmental impact and fuel costs associated with onsite welfare provision.
The van’s engine doesn’t need to be running when using equipment such as kettles, microwaves or USB charging points.
In fact companies already using the new hybrid welfare van are achieving around 200kg of carbon savings a week which could add up to as much as 10 tons of CO2 savings a year. It has the lowest carbon footprint of any welfare van on the market.
Smart Lithium batteries store energy generated by the panels during daylight hours and also when whilst the engine is running. There is however also automatic back-up power should the solar energy run out due to bad weather or heavy use.
Neil Richardson, Sales Director, commented: “Our research and development team has put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes getting this newest version of our award winning welfare vehicle ready. We were very excited to have it fully tested, up and running in time for Plantworx and couldn’t be more pleased with the reactions we’ve had.
“Construction, infrastructure and rail contractors from across the UK have been in touch with us asking if the vans are available near them and I’m very pleased to be able to say they are! Between our four depots and partner distribution centres we have a whole fleet ready for hire.”
