Hire Self-Contained Static Welfare Units and Cabins

Our static welfare units help partners across infrastructure, public sector, utilities and construction plan and run safer, more comfortable sites. Each self-contained welfare cabin gives your workforce HSE-compliant rest, dining, drying and toilet facilities, built for the long stays mobile units can’t cover.

Choose the right unit for the site

From the Combi Junior 15 (4 people) up to the Combi Cabin 48 (24 people), every static welfare unit is designed for a specific site profile, from city-centre redevelopment to motorway works. Our drying rooms and 2+1+Dryer units add capacity where layout, weather or shift patterns demand it.

Eco-first by design

Garic is best known for thinking beyond the box on sustainability. Our Eco Cabin+ 24, Combi Cabin 24 Eco and Solar Dryer Eco run on solar, hybrid and microgrid technology, driving down site fuel use, generator runtime and carbon emissions while delivering the same welfare standard.

Partner, not provider

Welfare unit hire is one of many things we do. We’ll also handle site planning, tanker servicing, fuel and water tank hire, lighting, energy and environmental site solutions. Long or short-term agreements. UK-wide delivery from our Bury, Falkirk, Sandy, Dudley and Reading depots. Talk to our team and we’ll spec the right setup for your site.

Static welfare unit hire FAQs

What is a welfare unit?

A welfare unit is a self-contained or mobile cabin that provides workers on construction and infrastructure sites with the rest, dining, drying and toilet facilities required by HSE welfare regulations. Static welfare units are designed for sites where teams stay in one location for weeks or months.

What’s included in a static welfare unit?

A typical Garic static welfare cabin includes a canteen with kitchen and seating, a separate WC, a drying area for site clothing, hot water hand washing, PIR-controlled lighting, and a power source (diesel, solar, hybrid or microgrid depending on the model).

How long can you hire a static welfare unit for?

Garic offers both long and short-term hire agreements on every static welfare unit. There’s no maximum. Many of our units are deployed on infrastructure projects for the full programme duration.

Do you deliver welfare units nationwide?

Yes. We deliver, install and service our welfare units UK-wide from our depot network in Bury (head office), Falkirk, Sandy, Dudley and Reading.

What’s the difference between static and mobile welfare units?

Static welfare units are larger, higher-capacity cabins that stay in one location for the duration of the hire. Mobile welfare units (vans and towable Armadillo units) are designed to move with the team or be relocated quickly.

Are your welfare units eco-friendly?

Several of our static welfare units run on solar, hybrid or microgrid technology, including the Eco Cabin+ 24, Combi Cabin 24 Eco and Solar Dryer Eco, reducing fuel use, generator runtime and site emissions.

What capacity welfare units do you hire out?

Garic’s static welfare cabins range from 4 people (Combi Junior 15) up to 24 people (Combi Cabin 48), with multiple sizes in between. Our drying rooms and combined toilet/dryer units add capacity where needed.

How do I get a quote for welfare unit hire?
