Garic, the UK’s leading supplier of site welfare products, has signed a deal to supply its range of spray cannons to Ron Smith Recycling, a division of the Hutchins Group. The Middlesex-based recycling and demolition company has taken delivery of its first cannon, an SC35, and is planning to order a second shortly.
Commenting on the purchase, Hutchins Group Director, Jack Hutchins said: “The new dust cannon is brilliant, it is really effective at suppressing dust and doesn’t create all the mess you normally get with other suppression systems. The mist is so fine it just clings to any airborne particles and brings them down to the ground where we can quickly and easily clear everything away.
“We previously had a sprinkler system but it wasn’t doing a good enough job so we did some research and then tested a couple of products. The Garic cannon is really impressive, we’ve been using it in our yard where we sort very large quantities of construction waste and it has coped really well. It’s also been to a number of demolition projects too and tackles concrete, brick and asbestos dust just as effectively too.”
