Garic has just officially launched its new London Service and Distribution centre at West Thurrock.
The company, which is one of the UK’s leading manufacturers and suppliers of plant and site welfare facilities, hosted a series of open days at the depot for customers and staff.
Commenting on the opening Garic Managing Director Colin Hotchkiss said: “We’d been looking for another Southern location since we announced our major expansion plans three years ago and I’m pleased to say we’ve found the perfect fit. The West Thurrock distribution centre opened in October and is already thriving. We expect its workforce to expand significantly over the course of the next year.
“Whilst West Thurrock is servicing a number of existing large contracts, it’s essential that the centre also works hard to establish an expanded regional client base. This is something that has worked very well at our other centres so we know it’s a recipe for success.”
Paul Drechsler, Bibby Line Group Chairman and former CBI President, kindly presided over the opening event. He warmly welcomed the visitors and praised Garic for its innovative products, exceptional customer service standards and for continuing with its bold growth plans.
The company has invested £1.5m in the new centre consists of two large workshops and offices which will sit within a gated yard area.
