Garic has achieved Gold in the internationally-renowned Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Health and Safety Awards, the longest-running scheme of its kind in the UK.
The prestigious accolade, which will be presented to the company during a ceremony in Glasgow in the autumn, has been given to Garic in recognition of its outstanding health and safety achievements.
Commenting on the news, Garic’s Health and Safety Manager, Ross Troughton said: “Over the past three years we have been focussing on our Mission to Zero initiative which has been extremely effective in driving significant cultural change across the whole of the business. We are absolutely thrilled to have this and our other safety achievements endorsed by the leading health and safety organisation in this country.
“I am extremely proud of the level of commitment everyone at Garic shown, they have all taken responsibility for improving and sustaining our high working standards very seriously. Staff at every level has contributed to making sure Garic is not only a safe place to work but that our customers benefit from our safe working methods too.”
The award will be presented on Thursday 12th September at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel, Glasgow Central.
