We are thrilled to share that we have been rated gold by FORS for the sixth consecutive year!
What is FORS?
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation scheme for Fleet Operators that aims to raise the level of quality within fleet operations and demonstrate which operations are achieving exemplary levels of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection.
Becoming a FORS member brings us the peace of mind that we are managing our Work-Related Road Risk (WRRR) and demonstrates to our customers and supply chain our commitment to exceeding the industry standard.
FORS focuses on raising the quality and standards of fleet operators by focusing on areas of best practice in safety, efficiency, and environmental protection. As a business, we have provided sustainable products for over 30 years and FORS is aligned with our ethos and assists us with our journey of improving our sustainability with our customers, suppliers, and the environment, whilst delivering the highest safety standards.
In 2013 we gained FORS bronze accreditation and decided to progress to Silver. Progressing from Silver to Gold not only demonstrated our commitment to road safety and the environment but also demonstrates to our customers and the public that we are committed to continuing to operate at the highest levels of the transport industry.
What driver training is covered in FORS?
Our drivers are committed to completing both classroom and eLearning training for FORS, based on safety, fuel efficiency, emissions, and improved road transport operating standards.
Our drivers are required to complete safety eLearning courses annually with classroom and practical courses every five years. One of the safety courses, Safe Urban Driving (SUDs) involves riding a bicycle on the road to help the driver understand how vulnerable cyclists and pedestrians are.
