In 2016, Garic worked alongside Kier BAM Joint Venture to develop a bespoke tank for water management works being undertaken as part of the enabling works at Hinkley Point C nuclear power station.

The exacting requirements of the project dictated that a bespoke tank would be needed to manage numerous outlets associated with ground water management at the site. The tank itself required a larger than average volume so the ‘Octopus’ settlement tank, with a capacity of 2,000 gallons and complete with six inlet and seven outlets points, was designed .

Garic worked closely with KierBAM throughout the six-week design stage and eight-week production and build process to bring the project from concept to final product.
