As part of our Bibby Compass community initiative, we are delighted to share the donation of a recycled welfare unit to Glenavon Junior Football Club, based in Prenton, Wirral.
Glenavon Junior Football Club is a grassroots club that caters for both girls and boys from u5 to u18 and has been in the local community since 1992. The club has ambitious plans to develop further and accommodate more players, but lacked suitable toilets and kitchen facilities. They got in touch to see if we could help them with a unit to act as their new base.
The unit was completely renovated by the team at our Bury depot with the exterior being painted in a custom colour. The interior was remodelled into a multi-purpose base with three sections; toilets, kitchen, and a changing room. With the delivery of the new unit, the club will now have their own space to help facilitate the club’s plans and achieve their goals.
Bill Price, Glenavon JFC chairman, said:
Our plans have been given a fantastic boost by Garic. The refurbished welfare unit you have converted into three compartments being kindly donated to our club gives us a platform to build on.
Being able to provide a toilet facility for girls and boys in a safe environment has been our number one priority and now, thanks to Garic, we can start to achieve our goals. The kitchen will help towards bringing some much-needed funds into the club on matchdays by selling tea, coffee etc. The committee are extremely grateful for all your hard work and kind donation to our club.
We’re looking forward to seeing the club utilise the recycled unit in a way that can help them achieve their goals and continue to coach children in their community.
