Garic Supports Local Charity After Devastating Fire

On the afternoon of 18 June, a fire broke out at a commercial storage unit in Middleton. The fire burned for four days before the building was partially demolished to allow firefighters safer access.  An estimated 400 businesses were affected by the fire, with many loosing everything.

Local charity, Cold Hands Warm Heart, was based at the centre and stored essential items and winter supplies there. The charity, which provides hot meals and vital support for people experiencing homelessness, lost everything they had worked so hard to collect.

With winter approaching and demand increasing, the team urgently needed a secure space to restart operations. That’s when they reached out to us.

We were proud to step in and help by donating a secure 20×8 cabin, delivered directly by our colleagues Phil and Martin. The cabin gives the charity a reliable, weatherproof space to store supplies and coordinate their efforts as they rebuild.
