Introduce yourself – Tell us what you do, how long have you worked at Garic etc
Hi I’m Sam Settle, I work on the Rail Team taking hires and dealing with a variety of enquiries from some of the companies biggest accounts. I have been on the Rail Team for just short of 3 years now but have been at Garic for nearly 5!
What is a typical day at Garic like for you?
No two days are the same, some days are more challenging than others but the challenge is good sometimes.I get to speak to lots of different customers with whom I’ve built great relationships with. My job requires me to work closely with other departments and depots, so being on the hire desk is far from an isolating role, you have to be a good team player.
What is great about working for Garic?
The people make Garic what it is, I work with some amazing people who make coming to work enjoyable. I feel supported and know I can turn to them if I need to.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I have a husband (who most people at Garic know), and 2 young boys who keep me on my toes. At the weekend we like to go for walks, go swimming, bake lots of yummy things and see friends. I love to go out for food and I live for holidays.
